The only system to help you achieve full-spectrum human performance

Effective movement control is a critical component of human performance. To achieve this, neural pathways constantly provide information from the body to the brain, and from the brain to the body. The body to brain information comes from sensory systems in the body, and the most important for movement control are:

  • The Visual System: Where am I? Where am I heading? How’s the footing? What is near me? Is it moving?

  • The Vestibular System: Which way is up? Am I moving? Am I turning? How fast? What direction?

  • The Proprioceptive System: What position is my body in?  Where are my arms and legs? How much force am I exerting?

The brain interprets this information and adds cognitive information about What do I want to do? Such as: Where do I want to go? What do I want to catch, kick, pick up, or throw…? How fast do I want to go? How much force should I use?

This combined information is sent from the brain to the body, through neuromotor pathways to the muscles, causing movement. Without effective communication across all of these neural pathways, movement control is compromised and the risk of injury increases.

Injuries to the brain or the body can and usually do impact the movement control system. Neural pathways for movement control are affected by brain plasticity when an individual’s movement patterns change due to a body injury. And the complex processing of movement control signals by the brain, may not happen effectively when the brain is injured, causing less than normal movement ability.

To date, the impact of ‘broken channels’ of brain-body communication on movement control has been complex and difficult to measure.

Our fast, accurate tests for human movement control assessment solve that problem and empower you to reduce risk, improve performance and experience full participation in life.
